CRUMBLER

DESCRIPTION OF CRUMBLERS
The crumbler consists of a stable welded housing. The entrance is supplied with a feed roll (dividing roll) that spreads the pellets evenly over the crumbling rolls. The quantity supplied to the rolls can be adjusted by means of a regulating valve. A geared motor with chain transmission drives the supply roll. The crumbling rolls consist of a ribbed roll and a cutting roll, each with a diameter of 250 mm. Each roll is separately driven by an electric motor and belt transmission. The cutting roll bearings are mounted in a spring construction and can move if a small hard object comes between the rolls. The roll distance can be adjusted with two adjusting bolts that can be locked after adjustment. The distance between the two rolls can be read from two gauges with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. The crumbler is standardly fitted with a hand operated bypass valve to guide the pellets around the outside of the crumbling rolls so that these are not crushed. For transportation of the machine, four lifting eyes have been fitted to the top.
Important characteristics are:
· Large roll diameter, therefore large entrance angle.
· Standard execution with bypass valve.
· Separately driven rolls.
· Simple to adjust.
· Springy cutting roll
